CENRE – Yeguada Cartuja is launching a survey aimed at breeders, riders, vets, associations, equestrian centres and companies in the sector to learn about their perception of equine welfare, the practices they already apply and the needs of the sector.
SIBEQUUS (Integrated Equine Welfare System) is a supra-regional Operational Group co-financed by the European EAFRD funds and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food under the CAP Strategic Plan. Its aim is to develop equine welfare protocols adapted to the different uses of the horse and a self-assessment app, so that the sector itself can measure and improve the welfare of its animals.
Your answers will help us decide which scenarios the protocols should focus on, which indicators are most useful and what the app and training should look like. The survey is anonymous and takes only a few minutes.
