Yeguada Cartuja hosted the 5th Equine Reproduction Conference at its facilities, a leading event that brought together experts, technicians and professionals from the sector to discuss the latest developments in genetics, biotechnology and reproductive techniques applied to the Purebred Spanish Horse.
The event, organised by CENRE-Yeguada Cartuja, took place on 8 October at Yeguada Cartuja’s facilities. The day combined technical talks with practical sessions, consolidating its role as a space for learning and knowledge transfer in equine reproduction.

The event was opened by the President of Yeguada Cartuja, Ms Judit Anda, accompanied by Ms Leonor Algarra, Deputy Director-General for Livestock Production Resources at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and Mr Francisco Requena, Director of the Yeguada Cartuja-CENRE Chair.

In the afternoon, two practical workshops were also held. One, open to the public, ran as part of the EUnetHorse Project, and included demonstrations on biosecurity and rational deworming. The second, available only to vets holding the UCO university micro-credential, offered the chance to witness a follicular aspiration demonstration and a mare insemination session run by UCO and Yeguada Cartuja.
With this fifth edition, Yeguada Cartuja reaffirms its commitment to research, training and innovation in horse breeding, remaining at the forefront of equine reproduction in Europe.
